We are a highly experienced team who are bursting to share our expertise and give you the opportunity to learn, create, and enjoy delicious food, all whilst having lots of fun.
All our courses have been designed for people of all abilities, from beginner to intermediate, and offer a very relaxed learning environment focusing on skill development and delicious dishes.
Our Cookery School Instructor, Shenley Moore, is our courses lead and together with her team, they look forward to welcoming you to Tonbridge Cookery School soon.
With over 23 years of experience as a professional chef, Shenley Moore possesses a wealth of knowledge and skills. Having worked in Cape Town and London restaurants, Shenley has a colourful background. Shenley joined the renowned Leiths School of Food and Wine in London as a Senior Teacher. As a chef trainer, she supported senior chefs in developing their craft, plus also ran her own business, and raised her family.
Leiths alumni include Olia Hercules, an author. Genius Foods founder Lucinda Bryce Gardyne, BBC Saturday Kitchen presenter Matt Tebbutt, and Sunday Times food editor Lisa Markwell.
Following Leiths, Shenley joined Rosemary Shrager's Cookery School in Tunbridge Wells and made a significant impact.

FAQ's
About the facility
- Based at Tonbridge School, we offer a great fresh, clean, and inviting location, with some lovely scenery over our famous ‘Head’ cricket green and our vegetable garden.
Accessibility
- Our programmes are designed for an adult audience (18+).
- Tonbridge Cookery School is located on the 1st floor without disabled access to reach it at present.
What will I be doing in my class?
- You will be hands on, chopping, slicing and cooking in pairs and then you will get to enjoy your delicious freshly prepared food by sitting with the whole class.
What to wear?
- Wear comfortable, non slip shoes for standing at your work station.
- Aprons will be provided to protect your clothing.
Refunds and exchanges
- If due to unforeseen circumstances we need to cancel a course, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.
- We do not currently offer the ability to exchange your booked class for another day.
Dogs
- Dogs are not permitted access to the building.
